Simultaneous Polar Opposite Syndrome"We're between the creative, open and spontaneous sense of being and approach to life, and the highly disciplined, pragmatic approach. And between those two there's a doorway, if you can find it, and it leads to immortality, it leads to infinity, it leads to nirvana." -Rama As we enter the week of Rama's birthday I feel some pretty intense energy. I have been in a state of confusion that has captured my attention. I have given it a name. I call it: simultaneous polar opposite syndrome. I feel as if I am the pair of opposites. Ying-yang
At any one moment, I could define my self with these simultaneous and opposite states of mind. It is very confusing. The opening quote from Rama is helping me make sense of this very confusing state of mind. We are really walking the razor's edge. The balance, on that edge, is just in between the pair's of opposites. Rama was talking about the space in between the creative self and the disciplined self. As this week's birthday power increases, we balance in the land in between--on the edge of our dual nature, we are both the ying and yang. If we can walk on that razor's edge, balancing the apparent opposites, we can find the doorway to eternity.
